Quality is Calling...We Can Pick Up or Let It Go to Voice Mail

Practice member, A.S. called me to let me know she had a family member who had a health crisis. During that time she was sitting with her relative she took advantage of some quiet time and finished reading her copy of The 100 Year Lifestyle.

If you visit the Create Purpose website you see that this book is on my list in the "Chiropractive Curriculum."

A.S. told me because of this family member's crisis, she decided she doesn't want to have a crisis of her own.

The 100 Year Lifestyle focuses on quality of life and it doesn't matter when you start. Right now is the perfect time! I invite you to read "The Evolution of Thought." from the 100 Year Lifestyle Blog. We all know consumer awareness if driving the shift away from crisis care.

As I look back at the changing mind-set, I remember when most people didn't think about their health until a crisis happened. Maybe it was my imagination but I think people healed faster. We ate better food, we weren't so pressed for time, and families remained close because they lived nearby. Television was not as big an influence in our lives and children played outside all day long. Fitness was called fun. Now it is a chore that has to be squeezed in during the busy day somehow.

Even though people took prescription drugs, (on a short term basis) they still healed on their own, but we gave the drugs the credit. Now, we have many lifestyle changes that haven't been good and we're disappointed because drugs don't work. We don't have faith in our own bodies and for good reason: they are stressed beyond belief.

The 100 Year Lifestyle not only makes it "cool" to seek health, it is part of the growing human potential movement.

Enjoy the Journey...it is happening whether you are ready or not.

Make Every Moment Count: 100 Year Lifestyle Doesn't Waste Any Time

The most successful people are masters of their time. Time management is the big buzzword going around but "management" has a negative connotation. When you are managed you still are not free. The secret is to make your time really yours.

Are you performing tasks or are you productive?

Take a new look at how you divide your time. Make the most of your prime time, prep time, and play time. I think the key here is to be clear about the purpose of prep time. It should be the link between your prime time and your play time.

How about making play time your prime time????? What did Dr. Plasker say about that?

Hmmm............

Your Rock Solid Support System: The 100 Year Lifestyle of Joy

Chapter 14 & 15 are all about relationships. Dr. Plasker calls this the Surround Sound System of Support. No one wants to get to 100 alone so there had better be a crowd taking the ride with us. The studies prove it and common sense proves it as well. We were not put on earth to be alone, otherwise each one of us would have his or her own desert island to live on.

Here is an important key: how you treat yourself will show others they should treat you. Here's the law of attraction again. Deep, deep down in your beliefs is how you feel about yourself. Others pick up on that and you will attract into your life the people that mirror you. Don't like it? You have the power to change it. There are people out there reading the 100 Year Lifestyle who also have goals like ours. They, too, are looking at their health, environment, relationships concentrating on making them great.

100 Year Lifestyle Enthusiasts practice ongoing reconnecting with their relationship with their bodies, their multi-generational relationships, and their relationship with life long learning. Look at chapter 14 for reconnection suggestions.

How do you deal with grief because it is there for every human being? I quoted Dr. Plasker because he said it very nicely:
"Certainly grief is a part of the process of loss, but when your life is multidimensional, it is easier to move forward."

Chapter 16 continues the idea of promoting life long learning as a health enhancer. Dr. Plasker wants us to get ready for our next big thing. It's coming so make it awesome! Chapter 16 also has tips on how to keep your senses fine tuned.

Special Post for A. S.: The Truth About Back Pain Book

Hi A. S.
I found the chiropractor you saw on TV.

http://www.drsinett.com/drupal/

I like how he stresses the structural, nutritional, and emotional aspects of back pain. It does carry over to all aspects of vibrant health, not just one body part, but he is focused on the back as his speciality.
